TVHM is not available until after you play through the story once. Once the character loads it will ask you which difficulty you want to play on. To start TVHM, from the main screen press load character then select the character you want do TVHM with, even if its the one already loaded. Step 3 - Play through True Vault Hunter Mode You could also make this Step 3 if you wish to cut down on grinding. It is worth noting that challenges and areas carry over between playthroughs for the same character. You should earn the following trophies during this Step. Finish off whatever challenges you have left in this step. The shotgun challenge can become a real grind if you don't start working on it early. Step 2 - Clean up any remaining challenges and Areas you still needīy the time you finish True Vault Hunter mode you should be very close to completing all challenges and along the way you have been working on 50 standard grinds, 750 Point Blank Range kills with a shotgun and 200 splash damage kills with a rocket launcher. During this Step you should unlock the majority of the trophies. Also, be sure to work on the Challenges along the way but the ones you really need to focus on at the beginning are the hidden Shotgun and Rocket launcher challenges as explained under the Challenger trophy description and also noted in Step 3 of the Roadmap. It is advisable to complete the side missions as they appear because this will allow you to level up more so when you start facing the harder bosses you won't be under levelled. If your looking for advice on which character to choose first I would recommend Nisha. Choose which ever character your looking forward to playing with and have fun. It has also been reported by a tiny minority of players that the Guardian Guardian trophy won't unlock at all in some cases but this has yet to be fully confirmed, I recommend making a backup of your save before attempting this mission so you have something to fall back on should it glitch.
